Hunter Coast Homes have been trading for over 10 years now and during this time we have constructed many projects including small commercial constructions, duplexes, multi-unit projects and a diverse range of architecturally designed homes (please see photo gallery for examples of our work). Each year this business has been trading we have experienced steady and controlled growth and this is reflected in the level of cover we can offer to our customers through the Home Owners Warranty compulsory insurance policy that is mandatory on every residential project that is undertaken.
At Hunter Coast Homes we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a quality service and product at a fair and reasonable price, representing to our clients’ excellent value for money. As you are no doubt aware the cheapest quote is not always the best option, especially in the building industry where job inclusions and specifications can vary enormously.
Each job is assigned to our construction department only after contracts have been signed and all internal and external selections are received by the office, this allows us to place orders for trades and products accurately and affords you an enjoyable and well communicated building experience. A supervisor is then allocated to control your project and he will keep you very well informed in regards to the progress on your project. All the usual and statutory guarantees and warranties are provided and we offer an after completion and handover service that is second to none. We expect to create a friendship with each client and we want you to be our friends after the contract and works have been completed in full, so we will ensure you are completely satisfied.

Hunter Coast Homes were named Hotondo New South Wales Builder of the Year in 2001, we have won many HIA awards since then including Custom Build Home of the year 2002, 2004 & 2006, Townhouse/Unit of the year 2003 and Display Home of the year 2005. The later two actually made it to the HIA National Award Finals.

Hunter Coast Homes Pty Limited commenced trading in June 1993 and has been involved with more than 300 local projects throughout the region.
The company was initially formed by Trevor Bice, a current director, in partnership with his wife Karen and in those days the company was known as Bicebuild. The business was operated from Trevor’s residence for the first 7 years of trading which allowed the company to enjoy steady growth, cost control and immediate attention to customers needs, business ethics that are still very much focused upon today. In 1995 the company Bicebuild Pty Ltd was formed and started trading as Hunter Coast Homes. This path was followed for 4 years before 1999 saw the building industry heading for its busiest period ever with the introduction of the GST on July 1 2000. This period throughout the building industry was unbelievably busy, demand outweighed supply enormously and resources were stretched to breaking point.
In May 2000 Darren Rodgers joined the company during the mad pre-GST period and ended up purchasing fifty percent of the business in July 2000 to become a full partner. Further changes were then necessary, the company name was changed to Hunter Coast Homes Pty Ltd and the company was re-located to an office space in Lambton. As part of our expansion plans we needed to employ more staff to help with the ever increasing workloads we were experiencing. We have moved again recently to an even bigger office space at Christo Road Georgetown which also has storage and warehouse facilities.
Today our staff levels have certainly grown and our employees are committed to customer service and delivering a quality product to our clients on time and on budget. The Hunter Coast team is as follows; Trevor Bice – Director, Darren Rodgers – Managing Director, Matt Day - Construction Manager, Shane Bower - Estimator, Jennifer Moore – Contract Administrator/Interior Selections, Suzy Cheek - Office Administrator/Accounts, Kay Munro - Purchasing Officer/OH&S, Maree Rodgers - Reception, Greg Pountney - Maintenance Manager. Our Site Supervisors are Simon Fox, John McCarthy, Tony Beavan, Adam Collins and Greg Heaton.

Darren joined HCH in May 2000 and ended up purchasing fifty percent of the business in July 2000 to become a full partner. Darren's roles within HCH include: Sales Manager and OH & S Manager. Trevor's roles with the company today include: Director, Construction advisor. Trevor oversees the construction team and is heavily involved in project programming & deadlines. | | | | | Estimator Shane is a carpenter by trade and comes to HCH with a wealth of knowledge. Before joining HCH Shane worked in a family business and has also managed his own company for seven years. Shane is responsible for producing estimates and full quotations to prospective clients and providing advice on plans and products.
